In Helmstedt between Braunschweig and Magdeburg, due to the high demand in the region, we have built our own hall with outdoor facilities, tailored entirely to our individual Hannes Camper needs and requirements. Our dear colleague Marlies has been running the station as station manager ever since.

1. Wolfsburg – more than a factory tour
Located almost 30 kilometers northwest of Helmstedt, Wolfsburg could be your first stage on the way to the enchanting North Sea. The well-known Autostadt inspires with idyllic nature reserves, a large number of museums and its unique Weser Renaissance architecture. The culinary highlight of the region: the exclusive VW currywurst based on a secret recipe from 1973. Well then, mealtime!

WOLFSBURG–ST. PETER-ORDING
The route leads north through varied landscapes. Lüneburg with its medieval old town and the salt museum invites you to take a break. The picturesque Lüneburg Heath is an absolute highlight and particularly attractive when the heath is in bloom in late summer.
The path continues along the North Sea coast, past the UNESCO-protected Wadden Sea. One of the most beautiful beaches in Germany awaits you in St. Peter-Ording. Important questions about renting a camper in Wolfsburg
Which driving license do we need for the camper?
The normal class B car driving license is sufficient, as a Hannes camper only has a total weight of 3,5 tonnes. The low weight also gives you further advantages when it comes to tolls and ferries.
When and where can or must our Hannes be picked up and returned?
In principle, pickup and return is possible between 9.00 a.m. and 19.00 p.m. Monday to Sunday. You can easily select the exact time when booking online.
How many people can we carry and can child seats be fitted?
Our Hannes campers are approved for four people. All seats have 3-point belts and headrests. There is an Isofix mount on the back seat. You can easily add a child seat with a 3-point mount to your booking as an add-on.
How and where do we get gas on the way?
When the vehicle is handed over, you will receive an 11 kg gas bottle that is sufficiently filled for your holiday. If, contrary to expectations, you run out of gas, you have the option of having the gas bottles refilled at many petrol stations and most campsites. Of course you can also book a second gas bottle with us as an add-on.
Please note that there are different connections and different gas bottles abroad and that you need an adapter to fill a German gas bottle, for example. However, we always have enough filled gas bottles in stock so that you can travel well-equipped.
