This is our travel destination insider tip for our guests:
Campervan tip: Relax and head to Calais and then on to England or the seaside. Calais is not only the gateway to Great Britain, but also a worthwhile stopover for anyone traveling by campervan. The journey via Belgium is straightforward and offers lovely stops along the coast, for example, in Dunkirk or on the picturesque Opal Coast. In Calais itself, there are convenient parking spaces near the ferry port—ideal for an overnight stay before continuing your journey. Those who don't want to cross to England can continue along the French coast toward Normandy or Brittany—with many campsites right by the sea. Tip: Book your ferry early, especially during peak season – and enjoy the view during the crossing!
