    Four questions

Perhaps you will find the answer to your question about the Remscheid station here.

What address can we find you at?
You'll find Hannes Camper Remscheid in the heart of the Bergisches Land region. Our station is easily accessible from Wuppertal, Solingen, Wermelskirchen, Burscheid, Hückeswagen, Radevormwald, Leichlingen, and the surrounding area. From here, you can pick up your campervan and start your relaxing holiday right away.
How big is your rental fleet?
Our rental fleet consists of four modern Hannes camper vans. All campers are comfortably equipped and offer everything you need for a relaxing and independent campervan holiday – whether as a couple, with friends or as a family.
    What makes your station special?
We don't just rent out Hannes Campervans, we drive one ourselves. As a family of five, we regularly travel in our own Hannes Campervan and know campervan travel from personal experience. We know what really matters when packing, at the campsite, and on the road – and also how a campervan holiday with three children works. We're happy to share this experience with you. That's why you'll not only receive a thorough introduction to your campervan, but also personal tips and recommendations from our own travels. Whether it's your first campervan holiday, a trip for two, or a family adventure: at Hannes Camper Remscheid, you'll receive personal advice from campers for campers.
This is our insider travel tip for our guests.
The Bergisches Land region! Sometimes your next adventure is right on your doorstep. Between reservoirs, forests, historic town centers, and beautiful hiking and cycling trails, there's plenty to discover around Remscheid. Especially for a short trip or your first weekend with a campervan, you don't always have to go far: pack up your campervan, hit the road, and experience the Bergisches Land from a whole new perspective.

    Remscheid

From Remscheid to the Müngsten Bridge

An absolute highlight for your camping trip through the Bergisches Land region: the famous Müngsten Bridge between Remscheid, Solingen, and Wuppertal. At 107 meters high and 465 meters long, it remains the highest railway bridge in Germany.

Right at its feet, the Müngsten Bridge Park invites you to linger with its expansive lawns, nature, and restaurants. Perfect for a short break from everyday camper life.

Discovered from Remscheid at Burg Castle

High above the wooded mountains sits Burg Castle – an impressive medieval complex with mighty walls, narrow streets, imposing archways and sunny terraces.

For around 900 years, the castle has told the story of the Counts of Berg and brought the past to life. A special highlight: You can explore the surrounding area in complete relaxation with Germany's oldest cable car.

Park your camper, enjoy the Bergische landscape and immerse yourself in almost 900 years of history – Burg Castle is a real must-see if you are starting from Remscheid.

    Reaching new heights in Remscheid

Experience fascinating birds of prey up close with a visit to the Bergisch Land Falconry. Exciting flight demonstrations, impressive birds, and plenty of nature make this a perfect outing for the whole family.

Park your campervan, enjoy nature and experience birds of prey up close! A highlight for your stay in Remscheid.

Remscheid Observatory - On a journey of discovery through the universe

Park your camper, look up and discover the stars!

At the Remscheid Observatory, the universe comes alive. Whether fascinating planets, distant galaxies, or exciting insights into the world of astronomy, here you can get up close to the stars and discover a wealth of new things.

Especially during a guided tour or a look through the telescope, the visit becomes a real highlight for young and old alike.
A perfect trip for campers who want to combine nature, science and a bit of stargazing!

From Hamburg with the camper to Denmark

The best time to rent a motorhome in Hamburg and go to Denmark is from May to October. We recommend traveling outside of the high season (June to August) to get the best pitches.

    1st stage: Hamburg–Kolding

Starts directly at our station in Hamburg heading north. The A7 takes you to Flensburg and to the border. In Denmark you continue on the E45 to Kolding. And that's where opinions differ: North Sea or Baltic Sea? A detour to Legoland Billund is an absolute must for families - only 40 minutes by car from Kolding. If you want to continue towards the North Sea, you can take the western motorway or country road to Esbjerg. If you have planned a camping trip to the Baltic Sea, your route leads east to Odense, over the impressive Storebaelt Bridge and up to Copenhagen. You can plan the return journey from the east via the island of Lolland: The ferry from Rødby to Puttgarden (Fehmarn) will bring you back to Germany. The last stage then leads via Lübeck back to our mobile home station in Hamburg.

Highlights at the Danish North Sea

Relax on Jutland on long, white sandy beaches that you can even drive on with a camper van during the day. So that beach feeling comes up right in front of the camper door. The small towns and villages along the North Sea coast are also worth seeing. They invite you to stroll and linger.

Highlights on the Danish Baltic Sea

As the third largest Danish island, Funen takes you to romantic beaches, hidden bays and lonely lighthouses - a paradise for explorers. The world-famous Hans Christian Andersen Museum awaits you in the capital Odense, and just outside the city you will find Egeskov Castle, an impressive moated castle.

You want to get to know the cultural center of Denmark? Then plunge into the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen. The highlights: picturesque gabled houses, unique gastronomy in Nyhavn and Freistadt Christiania - an alternative artists' housing estate. You have the best view of the city from the tower of the Church of the Redeemer.

The island of Lolland is characterized by swamps, lakes and forests. Here you will discover – together with your dog – the primeval flora and fauna. In Frejlev Forest you can still find passage graves, stone circles and monoliths from the Stone and Bronze Ages.
