What address can we find you at?

This is our travel destination insider tip for our guests:
Countryside pleasure – overnight stay in the middle of nature.
With Landvergnügen, you have the opportunity to park your camper directly at regional producers such as farms, beekeepers, or wineries – often free of charge. Worth seeing: Discover special places in Hanover

Hanover has a lot to offer architecturally, culturally and scenically. Those who love water will also get their money's worth here in the middle of the city. The Maschsee attracts water sports enthusiasts as well as cyclists, joggers, inline skaters and walkers. Cozy beer gardens, cozy cafés and first-class restaurants await you along a length of around 6 kilometers.

Anyone who is more enthusiastic about rustling foliage will feel right at home in the city forest of Hanover - the Eilenriede. As the largest urban forest in Europe, it offers numerous leisure activities for young and old: the forest station with trees for protection against birds is just as inviting to visit as the forest adventure tower, also known as the forest high-rise. In the WAKITU play park you can put your skills to the test on the high ropes course or on the mini golf course. The hiking, cycling and horseback riding trails are also worth a visit.

Just outside of Hanover is the Kronsberg nature reserve - and at the same time the highest mountain in the surrounding area: the Allmende. At 118 m above sea level NN you can see the skyline of Hanover, enjoy the beautiful hiking trails with your four-legged friend or let your children fly kites. The highlight of the year: the kite festival on the last weekend in September.

    Tour tips from Hanover

Would you like to rent your mobile home in Hanover and explore the surrounding area (or the world) from here? Then we have the right ones RV tours for beginners: Short distances, well-developed roads and places worth seeing for every taste - whether inland or directly by the sea.

Island hopping: through East Friesland in a mobile home

Idyllic East Friesland lies at the extreme tip of Lower Saxony. The coast is characterized by pastures, dikes and salt marshes. On the other hand, those who prefer white sandy beaches should go directly to the resorts. Important if you RV tour plans: With the long distances on the country roads and the beautiful landscapes in East Friesland, the stay can also be extended spontaneously - so don't clock the tour plan too tightly.

    Tour tip: Hanover-Harlesiel-Norddeich

From Hanover you start with your Hannes camper first to Harlesiel. Arrival time: around 3 hours. Spend the first night at the beautifully situated mobile home port of Harlesiel - right on the beach. Here you can already get a taste of the sea air and look forward to the coming vacation days.

On day 2 we continue to Neuharlingersiel, 15 minutes away. There you set up yourselves either at the Nordsee-Camping Neuharlingersiel or directly at the ferry on the camper place of the village. You start island hopping in Spiekeroog early in the morning and return to the mainland in the evening.

In the next 3 days you always stay on the coast, take the first ferry to the islands in the morning and go back in the evening. Your connections: The Bensersiel ferry port to Langeoog, the Nessmersiel ferry port to Baltrum and finally the Norddeich ferry port to Norderney. On the last crossing you can simply take your mobile home with you and spend a few more beautiful days on the island.

As an alternative home base, it is also a good idea for a tour of East Friesland Motorhome for rent in Hamburg.

Explore the Lüneburg Heath with a camper

When a purple carpet of blossoms covers the landscape in August, you know that you are in the Lüneburg Heath. However, the fantastic spectacle is just one reason to explore the nature reserve north of Hanover. Thanks to the small rivers, the Lüneburg Heath has also made a name for itself as a famous canoeing area. What are you waiting for: rent a mobile home in Hanover and head out into nature!

Tour tip: Round trip via Lüneburg, Undeloh, Soltau and Celle

In just under 2 hours you can drive from Hanover to the beautiful salt city of Lüneburg in a mobile home. Here you can expect traditional brick houses as well as history and culture related to salt production and the Hanseatic League. Simply park your camper close to the city center "Auf den Sülzwiesen" and explore the city.

From Lüneburg, the round trip continues to Salzhausen and Undeloh - this is where the Lüneburg Heath begins. Wooded, wide heathland and huge boulders characterize the landscape. Extensive moors, small towns and plenty of time to relax await you on the next stage between Schneverdingen and Celle. If you fancy a little thrill in between, make a detour to the Heide Park Resort in Soltau - dozens of attractions for young and old await you.

At the end of your mobile home tour, a trip to the city of short distances is worthwhile: Celle. It inspires with a magnificent Renaissance castle, the historic Hoppener house in the old town and other cultural highlights.

Would you rather drive to the Lüneburg Heath from another camper station? Then you can, for example, your Rent a mobile home in Peine.

Discover the Harz - with the mobile home

From Hanover you can reach the Harz with the camper within 2 hours. The German low mountain range between Goslar and Nordhausen offers you varied landscapes, unique sights and exciting destinations. Enjoy your hikes through extensive forests and along idyllic mountain lakes and reservoirs. Mountaineers and climbers also get their money's worth in the Harz Mountains. You can also experience pure nature in the stalactite caves and grottos of the region. If you want to experience history up close, we recommend the old towns of Thale and Quedlinburg with their half-timbered houses and the region's castles.

There are plenty of campsites and parking spaces in the Harz - especially near the sights. If you would like to rent your mobile home in Hanover in late spring or summer, it is best to reserve a parking space or campsite early on. Because during the high season, the offers can be scarce.

Thanks to its central location in central Germany, you can Rent a mobile home in Leipzig tooto go on vacation in the Harz Mountains.

With the mobile home from Hanover to the Weserbergland

The foothills of the varied Weserbergland are about an hour away from Hanover. Alternatively, you can also start further west: Rent a mobile home in Paderborn and jet off. Our tip: A tour of the small towns that will take you almost to the North Sea.

    Tour tip: Hameln-Rinteln-Petershagen-Steinhuder Meer-Bremen

From Hanover, the first stage takes you to the hometown of the Pied Piper - Hamelin. The pearl of the Weserbergland is surrounded by green hills and the streets are lined with historic half-timbered houses. After a long stroll through town, the motorhome tour continues to nearby Hessisch Oldendorf. Park your camper on the free Grossenwieden parking space in the middle of nature. From here you can reach the Weser ferry, rent a canoe for a spin on the Weser, visit the Schillat Cave or climb up to the Hohenstein.

The next stage continues north-west: Rinteln awaits you with an enchanting city center that invites you to go shopping. Starting from the fantastically located parking space at Doktorsee, you can explore the area on foot or by bike.

Other highlights of our tour of the small towns: hiking in the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest near Petershagen, swimming at the Steinhuder Meer and a fairytale visit to the Bremen Town Musicians. Then it's back to the south-east to the home base in Hanover.

Do you have more plans - extended parental leave on the road, discovering Europe on a long journey or just seeing where your road trip takes you? Then the RV Long Term Rental by Hannes Camper. We look forward to your inquiry!
