From Braunschweig to Peine-Ilsede to rent your camper
– Peine- Ilsede station –
We started in Braunschweig in autumn 2017 with six campers in a parking lot and a small office. During this time we have organized many show days to show guests our campers and to gain popularity. We also used the weekends to put our flyers in mailboxes on entire streets. An incredibly exciting time!
From 2018 onwards things happened very quickly. The parking space with the small office in Braunschweig was noticeably no longer sufficient, especially because the vehicle fleet grew from 6 to 20 vehicles. A former roofing shop in Ilsede-Oberg in the Peine district became our new headquarters shortly before the 2018 season. The first two employees were hired there, one of whom is still a very loyal and reliable colleague Hannes Camper Team in Ilsede unterstützt.
The incredibly positive feedback from our guests allowed us to continue to grow in 2019 and we were able to expand the vehicle fleet again. This meant that the team in Ilsede could also be strengthened with additional great colleagues. Our dear colleague Kerstin has been running the station as station manager ever since.

Our tour tip is divided into two stages:
1. MOTOR HOME STAGE: BRAUNSCHWEIG–WOLFSBURG
From our station in Peine you will be in Wolfsburg in no time as the first stage on the way to the North Sea. The well-known autostadt Tech-savvy people are very excited. Wolfsburg also offers idyllic nature reserves, a variety of museums and its unique Weser Renaissance architecture. The culinary highlight of the region: the exclusive VW currywurst based on a secret recipe from 1973. Well then, meal!
2. MOTOR HOME STAGE: WOLFSBURG–ST. PETER-ORDING
The second part of the route leads north through varied landscapes. Lüneburg in particular is inviting with its medieval old town and the Salt Museum as a stopover to linger. The picturesque one Lüneburg Heath is an absolute highlight and particularly attractive when the heather is in bloom in late summer.
The path continues along the North Sea coast, past the UNESCO-protected Wadden Sea. One of the most beautiful beaches in Germany awaits you in St. Peter-Ording, ideal for enjoying spectacular sunsets, with the camper near the beach. Bicycle tours are also ideal as leisurely journeys of discovery. Depending on which of our models you choose, you will be equipped with a double bike rack.
By motorhome from Braunschweig to Saxon Switzerland
This tour tip is divided into two stages:
1. CAMPER STAGE: BRAUNSCHWEIG–MAGDEBURG
The Saxony-Anhalt state capital Magdeburg is located directly on the Elbe and only 45 kilometers east of our station in Helmstedt. The impressive cathedral, the diverse galleries and the exciting Elbauenpark are definitely worth a detour to Magdeburg.
2. CAMPER STAGE: MAGDEBURG–SAXON SWITZERLAND
Don't you want to trace the impressive river back to the Czech source and have a heart for it? Hiking, climbing or spectacular panoramas and breathtaking views? Then Saxon Switzerland is your dream destination. For example, you can start your vacation southeast of Dresden and visit the well-known highlights: Königstein Fortress with a view of the Lilienstein or the Basteibrücke with the most famous postcard motif in Saxon Switzerland.

If Saxon Switzerland is enough for you and you want fewer mountains and more culture, then we recommend a trip to Prague.
MOTOR HOME STAGE: DRESDEN–PRAGUE
The connection to Prague is uncomplicated and offers you many optional stops, such as the inspirace park.
When you arrive in Prague you can't escape the culture. Prague was Europe's intellectual center in the late Middle Ages and expressed its position in one impressive architecture the end. the Moldavia impresses with its many bridges, especially the Charles Bridge. historical old city guides you from one sight to the next. In June we went on holiday (for the first time) for 16 days in a motorhome - a dog, Hannes. Apart from the fact that we spent a wonderful holiday with fantastic weather in Carinthia and Slovenia, we couldn't have found a better landlord with hannes-camper.
From the first phone call, to the uncomplicated reservation, to the support during our trip to the return of the vehicle, everything went absolutely perfectly.
We felt absolutely comfortable when booking, hannes-camper was flexible, sometimes very spontaneous, and responded to our requests when picking up and returning the car. A prior inspection of the rental motorhome was also no problem. The videos were very practical and helped us as beginners to make optimal use of the motorhome and its equipment.
If we hadn't bought our own motorhome now, we would book with hannes-camper again and again. It couldn't be better. Therefore, absolute recommendation and all thumbs up.

Which camper is right for us?

Can our dog come with us in the motorhome?
We have ours especially for traveling with dogs Dogs Hannes and Big dogs Hannes. At the end of these two pages you will find important information about camper holidays with your favorite four-legged friend.
Which driving license do we need for the camper?
The normal class B car driving license is sufficient, as a Hannes camper only has a total weight of 3,5 tonnes. The low weight also gives you further advantages when it comes to tolls and ferries.
How high are the operating costs along the way?
Operating costs while traveling vary greatly and depend on factors such as fuel consumption, campsite fees, food and possibly other costs abroad. Roughly plan on spending around 50-100 euros per day so that you can enjoy your trip in a motorhome without any worries.
How big should our camper be?
If you're traveling as a couple, that's enough Hannes out of. We recommend this for a family Families Hannes. If you prefer something a little more spacious, choose this Great Hannes. Alternatively, you can choose the respective premium version.
