We have 2 dogs and have been looking for a suitable mobile home for a long time. At Hannes Camper, there are no additional costs for final cleaning etc. when traveling with dogs. All four of us will definitely be back.

To ensure that the camper holiday is a relaxing time for everyone, you should consider a few things when traveling with a dog.
If you have a longer route ahead of you, always take long breaks with lots of exercise and games. Because it relaxes your dog, it gets tired and the journey is more relaxed overall. On motorway routes, it is advisable to head for a meadow off the route and let your dog run off the leash once in a while. And always remember to have enough drinking water - not just for your four-legged friend.
Stress symptoms in dogs can be very different: refusal to eat, panting and trembling are just a few of them. It is important that you recognize them and take countermeasures in good time. It's much easier in a camper than in a car.
You can't go without buckling up! This also applies to traveling with a dog in a mobile home. You can either use a transport box or a special safety harness that is attached to the safety belt. We would be happy to advise you on the possibilities in our dog Hannes.
Not all campsites in Germany and abroad are designed for guests with dogs. A separate daily fee for the four-legged friend is often required. When planning your route, pay attention to special facilities for your darling: dog showers, dog beaches and dog meadows offer the necessary comfort. Find out in advance about opportunities to run out on the campsite and in the surrounding area - you can find a few tips in our tour suggestions at the end of the article.
A trip abroad with a dog is always a (bureaucratic) challenge - even on an uncomplicated camping tour. You always need an EU pet passport and the current vaccination status of your animal. Depending on the country, various vaccinations against rabies and other diseases are required for entry. Your veterinarian can inform you about this. You should also always have proof that your dog is chipped. When crossing the border, have the entry papers ready for you, your dog and a holiday dog tag.
If you would like to take the ferry, it is best to get written confirmation from the ferry company before you travel that your dog is allowed on board. In the best case, you take care of all the documents at least one to two months in advance so that they are complete on the day of departure.
And last but not least: Think about the first-aid kit for your dog. This is because necessary or required medicines are not always available in all countries. We wish you a good trip!
