Camping on New Year's Eve with a motorhome

On the road with the camper on New Year's Eve

The year is coming to an end and once again the question arises for many of you:
What are we doing on New Year's Eve?
Celebrating the turn of the year at home with friends or family is always nice, but why not break with old traditions and spend New Year's Eve in a camper. You decide for yourself whether it will be a quiet, a cozy New Year's Eve for two, an evening with the family or a celebration with other campers. Some campsites now also offer special New Year's Eve promotions.
Whether you prefer to be by the sea, on the beach, in the mountains or in a ski area with your camper, you can quickly find a suitable travel destination. Depending on whether you like watching fireworks at midnight, you are probably looking for a campsite or pitch with a good view. If you want to escape the fireworks spectacle, especially if you are out and about with your dog, you are probably more likely to look for a quiet place where there are no fireworks.

Decoration should not be missing in the camper either

Battery-operated lamp chains belong in every camper, at all times.  On New Year's Eve, you could attach small pieces of paper with your wishes for the coming new year and/or your highlights of the old year to your fairy lights, you may have some with clips - clothespins work as an alternative. You can review the past year and you will see that the time until midnight passes very quickly. Board games are always a very fun and enjoyable way to pass the time until midnight (spontaneously, with just a piece of paper and a pen, I always play “City, Country, River” on the go.).

You don't have to do without delicious food either

Potato salad with sausages are also a traditional and popular meal on New Year's Eve. At midnight another hearty soup that can be prepared the day before, or do you prefer it sweet and prefer a Berliner? Many pubs and restaurants offer a complete menu to take away, especially for New Year's Eve. You can then enjoy your New Year's Eve dinner comfortably in your camper. It may even be delivered to you there directly.

The New Year's morning

Welcoming the new year in nature with fresh air and with a long walk by the sea or in the mountains or being the first on the ski slopes is certainly a unique experience. When others wake up with a heavy head, you have already greeted the new year in a unique way. Because most of the time, early in the morning on the first day of the year, many places are still deserted.

It doesn't matter how you spend New Year's Eve - we wish you a happy turn of the year and you, your families and friends a happy new year. May it bring you many wonderful moments, good luck, health and great travel experiences.
