Where should it go?

The beauty of traveling with a camper is that you are completely independent and free to plan. There are campsites and pitches all over Europe and beyond. We recommend our new guests - on their first holiday with a camper - to think about the route and destination for at least the first few days and not just "start driving". A reservation at a campsite makes sense for the first few nights so that you can familiarize yourself with the vehicle, life and sleeping in the camper. So you also have the opportunity to deal with the details: "how do I connect the camper to the shore power, how is fresh water filled up and how do I empty the camping toilet" and try them out in peace and quiet. And please remember, if you are traveling in the high season, to plan early and reserve a parking space.

The right packing

First things first, only pack what you need. When packing, do without anything that might be irrelevant. Every one of us knows it, when unpacking our travel bag, we keep coming across items of clothing that we haven't worn. And if you really run out of laundry, you will find washing machines on many campsites that you can use for a small fee. It is best to leave the large suitcase at home and sort your clothes directly into the storage compartments in the camper. There is enough space in each of our vehicles for this.

Instead, think practical and take things with you that you rarely need on a hotel vacation. Dishwashing utensils, a washing line, a flashlight and board games are just as much a part of it as candles and mosquito spray. A bag for dirty laundry has also proven to be useful, as it saves you the "laundry chaos" in the vehicle.

food on wheels

If you have a large kitchen at home, cooking in the camper can be a challenge at first. It can be helpful to think in advance about which dishes can be prepared with the least amount of crockery possible. Make a list of the foods and spices you want to take with you. If you travel in summer, a barbecue should not be missing.

You should definitely allow yourself enough leeway to get to know your holiday region or your holiday country from a culinary point of view. Visit small regional shops and buy fresh groceries locally. So you can take even more impressions and memories home with you.

Enjoy and have fun comes first

Let go and enjoy the time. Turn off your cell phone and not be reachable at all times. On vacation with the camper you will not get as close to nature as you would in everyday life. Explore the landscape, get to know the flora and fauna of your vacation spots. Enjoy the time, whether alone, as a couple or as a family.

We wish you a fantastic unforgettable camper holiday.
